Kalista LoL Script Settings: Hops, Rend & Objectives

CADO

Quick verdict: Kalista lives and dies by her hop timing. Set your orbwalker to a short windup window, enable auto Rend above 3 stacks, and use the script's damage calc to secure objectives without Sentinels. These settings make her feel like a different champion.

Kalista is the most script-sensitive ADC in League of Legends. Her Martial Poise hop is a movement command that has to land inside a tight window after each auto attack, and if your orbwalker misses that window you either stand still and eat a skillshot or hop into the enemy team. A generic lol script that works fine on Jinx or Kog'Maw will make Kalista look drunk. The settings below are what we run after testing across Diamond and Master lobbies on the current patch.

The good news: once you dial in the hop timing, auto Rend, and objective logic, Kalista becomes one of the cleanest champions to script. You get the kiting of a pro ADC without the 200 APM hand cramp. Here's how to set it up.

Martial Poise Hop Timing with the Orbwalker

Martial Poise triggers when Kalista issues a move command during her attack windup. The window is roughly 0.2 seconds after the attack starts, but it scales with attack speed. At 1.5 AS the window is tighter than at 1.0 AS. Your orbwalker needs to know when to insert the move command, and that's the 'hop timing' or 'move delay' slider in most scripts.

Set it too low and you cancel autos. Set it too high and you hop late, eating the skillshot you were trying to dodge. In our testing, 120-150 ms after attack launch is the sweet spot for Kalista. Start at 140 ms and adjust by feel. If you're seeing cancelled autos in lane, bump it up by 10 ms. If you're getting hit by obvious Blitzcrank hooks, drop it by 10.

One quirk: Kalista's hop direction is based on the move command, not the target. A good orbwalker will hop perpendicular to the threat, not straight back. Enable 'kite away from nearest enemy' or 'orbwalk to cursor' depending on your script. For teamfights, manual cursor control is still better. For lane trades, let the script handle it.

If you're new to orbwalking concepts, our orbwalking guide explains the underlying mechanic. Kalista just turns it up to 11.

Hop Timing Values by Attack Speed

  • 1.0-1.2 AS (early lane): 150 ms move delay
  • 1.3-1.6 AS (mid game): 130-140 ms
  • 1.7+ AS (late game with Runaan's): 110-120 ms
  • With Lethal Tempo stacked: drop by 10 ms

A well-built League of Legends script like Cado exposes this as a single slider, so you don't have to micro-manage four profiles. Set it once per game based on your AS and forget it.

Auto Rend Execute on Stacks

Rend (E) is Kalista's execute, and the script can auto-cast it the moment the damage will kill. The trick is setting the stack threshold and HP threshold correctly. Too low and you leave kills on the table. Too high and you waste mana and cooldown on full-HP targets.

Our recommended settings: auto Rend enabled, minimum stacks 3 on champions, 2 on minions, execute HP threshold 90% of current HP (meaning the script will cast if Rend damage is at least 90% of the target's current HP). That last number is key. At 90% you rarely miss a kill, but you also don't blow E on a 70% HP target who then flashes away.

For minions, set the threshold to 100% or use 'last hit only' mode. You want Rend to secure cannon minions and push waves, not to randomly execute a caster minion while you're trying to freeze. The script's damage calculation includes your AD, stacks, and Rend's base damage, so it's more accurate than eyeballing it.

One more thing: enable 'Rend on killable target only' in teamfights. You don't want your script burning E on the tank when the enemy ADC is at 200 HP behind him. The target selector should prioritize the lowest-HP enemy champion within Rend range.

Sentinel-Free Objective Secures

Kalista's Sentinels (W) are usually used for vision, but scripting them is a trap. Auto-casting W on cooldown wastes mana and gives away your jungle position. Turn Sentinel auto-cast off entirely. Use it manually when you're setting up for Dragon or Baron, and let the script handle the damage.

The real value is in the objective secure logic. Kalista's Rend is a powerful smite-like execute on epic monsters. Set your script's 'objective smite' or 'epic monster execute' to use Rend when the monster's HP is below your calculated Rend damage. This lets you steal Dragon or Baron without a jungler, which is huge in solo queue where smite fights are coinflips.

In our testing, a 5-stack Rend with 200 AD does around 800 damage to monsters. Set the execute threshold to 850 to be safe. The script will auto-cast E the instant the monster drops below that, often before the enemy jungler can react. Combine this with the orbwalker's 'attack epic monsters' priority and you have a reliable objective stealer.

Don't forget to bind a key for manual Rend in case the script's calculation is off due to a shield or damage reduction. A quick tap of E is still the most reliable secure.

Target Selector and Combo Logic for Kalista

Kalista using Rend to secure Dragon with auto execute in League of Legends

Kalista's target selector should prioritize the closest enemy champion in auto-attack range, but with a twist: ignore tanks if a squishy is within 200 units. Set 'target priority' to 'lowest HP' in teamfights, 'nearest' in lane. The script's combo mode should weave Q (Pierce) between autos when the enemy is out of auto range, but never use Q as a gap closer unless you're chasing a kill.

Enable 'auto Q on killable target' with a 70% HP threshold. That means if the enemy is below 70% and Q will hit, the script fires it. This adds a nice chunk of burst to your trades. Just be careful with mana early. If you're oom, you can't Rend.

Humanizer Settings for Kalista

Kalista's hop makes her look robotic if your humanizer is too perfect. Set reaction delay to 80-120 ms and add a 15% chance to miss a hop window intentionally. That sounds counterintuitive, but it makes your movement look human. Real players don't hop perfectly every time, especially under pressure.

Also enable 'randomize hop direction' slightly (10-15 degrees variance) so you're not always hopping on a perfect line. In high-elo, enemies will predict your hop pattern if it's too consistent. A little noise goes a long way.

If you're worried about detection, our safety guide covers humanizer best practices. The short version: don't set everything to instant.

In-Game Scenarios: Kalista vs Common Matchups

Kalista vs Blitzcrank

Blitzcrank's hook is the classic test for hop timing. With a 140 ms move delay, your orbwalker will hop you out of the hook's path if the script's evade is enabled. But don't rely on it alone. Set your evade danger level to 'high' for Blitzcrank specifically, and enable 'dodge skillshots while attacking'. In our testing, this dodges about 8 out of 10 hooks in lane. The other two are when you're locked in attack animation. That's why the humanizer's 15% miss chance exists.

Kalista vs Leona

Leona's Zenith Blade is slower and easier to dodge, but her ultimate (Solar Flare) is a ground-targeted AoE. Your script should have 'dodge AoE' enabled. The hop timing here is less critical because you can just walk out. But if you're mid-auto, the orbwalker will cancel the auto and hop you out. That's usually correct, unless you're about to kill her. Use your judgment.

Putting It All Together

Kalista scripting is about layering: hop timing first, then Rend execute, then objective logic. Get the hop right and everything else follows. Our recommended starting point: 140 ms move delay, auto Rend at 3 stacks and 90% HP, Sentinel auto-cast off, objective execute at 850 HP. Tweak from there based on your ping and playstyle.

If you want a script that handles all this out of the box, Cado's Kalista module is tuned for these exact values. You can buy it instantly and be hopping in your next game.

FAQ

What is the best hop timing for Kalista in a lol script?

Start with 140 ms move delay and adjust by 10 ms based on attack speed. Lower AS needs a longer delay, higher AS needs shorter.

Should I enable auto Rend on minions?

Yes, but set the stack threshold to 2 and HP threshold to 100% so it only executes killable minions. Avoid using it while freezing.

How do I steal objectives with Kalista script?

Enable epic monster execute with a threshold around 850 HP. The script will auto-cast Rend when the monster is low enough.

Why does my Kalista script cancel autos?

Your hop timing is too low. Increase the move delay by 10-20 ms until autos stop cancelling.
